Join us on as SDWC celebrates its 30th Anniversary with Reflections: Looking Back on Our First 30 Years, a retrospective concert highlighting favorite songs from its rich performance history. Since 1987, San Diego Women’s Chorus has raised voices in song while providing a safe space that encourages women’s creativity, celebrates diversity, and inspires social action.
Share in SDWC's musical journey, from its inception, with just 14 women singing around a piano to present day, which finds SDWC a thriving organization with over 100 singers.
Artistic Director, Kathleen Hansen, enthusiastically shares, “our audience will delight in enjoying to bawdy favorites, contemporary music, commissioned pieces and touching social tributes. Selections include "The Lesbian 2nd Date Moving Service" and "Leaping Lesbians," as well as more recently performed SDWC showstoppers "Soweto: June 1976," Adele's "Rumor Has It/Someone Like You" mashup, and Janis Ian's choral anthem "I'm Still Standing."
This intimate event will be held at University Christian Church, in the heart of Hillcrest.
Tickets are just $20 in advance and $25 at the door, with discounted pricing available. A select number of VIP tickets, which entitle ticket holders to premium seating in a reserved section of the venue, are available for $30 and will be sold in advance only.
